Famous music composer Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul asked Liza, ‘Bees collect honey from where? ’ She replied,' From flowers’. But a eulogized Bulbul said that she is wrong because it is her voice that makes honey sweet. This was a tremendous source of inspiration for Liza to secure her place in the last six in the Closeup 1 2008 contest.

When Liza took part in audition round in Mymensing, her SSC exam was going on but she did not give up. She was the last contestant there. In the audition round she started with the song ‘Eki sonar aloy’ and sang other six songs one by one. Judges were captivated and gave her the ‘Yes Card’ to go all the way to Dhaka. This was how Liza started her Closeup 1 journey and continued to show her potentials as a budding music talent. In the Selection Round she presented two songs ‘Eki sonar aloy’ and ‘Tumi mishti kore dushto bolo’. ‘Aai re megh aaire’ was the song of her Instrument round.

She won the judges’ confidence in Avijatra Round. It was shot in Rangamati, the place of immense scenic beauty, where she sang the song ‘Amar buker moddhey khane’. She also received accolade from judges in Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendro Round by singing ‘Ek shagor rokter binimoye’.

In the Moulik Gaan round she had the opportunity to sing the song of lyricist Shagor Chowdhury and composer S.I. Tutul. She prepared her song in two days and scored the highest marks in comparison to all the previous rounds.

Liza wants to reign the world of music and she is really thankful to Closeup 1, Unilever Bangladesh Limited and others for creating such a platform to reach the hearts of millions of audiences.
